This was an incredible find I stumbled upon, and left being ever more curious about the LA Rebellion Filmmaking wave.

This film is pure pulse, with vignettes stitched together that creates this multigenre neo-realist AND experimental portrait of guerrilla fighting, revolution, and blackness. The cinematography, sound design and performances are so fantastic, and this film has no regard for following or participating in the traditional Hollywood convention of picturemaking, which makes it all the more powerful

just a mish mash of images and sounds and feelings that come out to be pretty enjoyable. like others have said, its attempting to paint a picture of life after vietnam for African Americans and yeah, I can see it. there's a lot of just 'what do we do now', a lot of 'oh god I don't wanna remember what happened'. fun movie, but its not great
