I thought it was an alright sequel. It just loses it's charm and "why the original is so good" effect. I'm irritated by the fact that it seems like the original soundtrack consists of one song without having it edited to make it sound a little different. Don't get me wrong, I love "I Want to Spend My Lifetime Loving You" performed by Marc Anthony & Tina Arena, but there's no fucking way you have enough money to make a sequel but not an original song. I understand if that's Zorro's "theme song", even if it is, atleast only put it at the start of the film where it shows the epic title of the movie. I just find that melody repetitive and doesn't want to differentiate itself from the original. The love story is honestly messy, it doesn't make sense for the wife to keep it all a secret unless she signed a contract to never speak of it. The character development wasn't all too great when the main character says "family comes first", if he learned that from the first film then why not add it to this one? The acting is still brilliant from Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. There's still no explanation to the whereabouts of the Anthony Hopkin's character as he's quite important character of passing on the legacy. Although it isn't a bad film, the stunts is still perfectly choreographed and the action seems twice as more explosive. The Zorro in this film played more as a "Puss in Boots" type of character. There's so many opportunities to take down an enemy but instead, just have a "fair" stand off and do a sword fight. The Legend of Zorro is a inconsistent, repetitive, messy film that'll increase divorce rates
