“But how could you be doing this without my knowing about it?”
This had me teary eyed by the end, Kate’s life was seemingly perfect from an outsiders perspective, she was thin, had a loving and successful husband, a beautiful and respectful daughter, but behind all of that, she was ill. She was close to death, yet those around her had no idea. Her closest friends and family couldn’t see what was going on, you never know what is going on in someone’s life. Similar to Patch, Markie kept judging her and acting as if she had a perfect life for being rich, in reality she was raped as a young girl by her own father, her mother only encouraged her eating disorder, and she ended up dead.
The ending of this was much happier than I could have expected, that moment Kate was in the bathroom and was discovered slathered by her own blood, that could have changed so much. I still wonder how they found her in time, she had running water to cover noises, she most likely had locked the door. Did she open it once she realized? I’m so curious about this scene, unless I just missed something, she was so incredibly lucky.
