Surprised to watch a breaking the fourth wall in Vietnamese films for the first time.
The film manages to build an eerie atmosphere of the mountainous region of Vietnam, which I think is the main factor that causes tension in the film. Phi Phong also holds quite a few messages, so the way it solves them is quite fast, but at least the crew solved it all and made the screenplay feel complete. Also, the exploitation of the gray area is a merit of the craft.
True horror lies in human nature, not in ghosts or demons.
