Amazingly well-animated, with gorgeous character design, action choreography, soundtrack, and sound design. Phenomenal characters, cool international locations, all sorts of tech and mysticism. Maybe my favorite of all of the different tactical porn anime from around this time.
Some standout scenes are the chase scene, or Fat Man's attack on the mountainside Arcam base. Another great scene in Jean fighting Little Boy in the truck. Yu's exploration of Noah's Ark. There are a lot of great scenes here...
Like if Akira was actually Nausicaa of the Valley of the Metal Gear. Except it's better than Akira and Nausicaa.
