Journalists Ichiro Sakai and Junko cover the wreckage of a typhoon when an enormous egg is found and claimed by greedy entrepreneurs. Mothra's fairies arrive and are aided by the journalists in a plea for its return. As their requests are denied, Godzilla arises near Nagoya and the people of Infant Island must decide if they are willing to answer Japan's own pleas for help.

Really liked its message and themes. Overall a solid script about how the greed of capitalism leads to the abuse of corruption of nature and its consequences on our environment.
On technical aspects, a lot of the miniatures lacked the quality of previous films and do feel a lot like toys (specially the vehicles).
Author’s Note: Mothra, I love you so much. I cried when you died and cried again when you were reborn as twin larvae.
