I barely know anything about the biblical story of Salome. With that context I might have seen this as innovative; without it I felt like I was watching a girl in a mini skirt faun over a twink who hates her.

Occasional really neat scene compositions. I have so many questions though. Why did Salome have three to four costume changes in one night? Are those guards gay? Is there one dude in unsuccessful blackface?

I heard the director was queer and I feel like I am disrespecting an elder by not enjoying this.
