Ida Lupino should’ve at least gotten a Oscar nomination for this performance, maybe even win

I honestly had absolutely no clue this was going in the direction it went in but honestly I’m not mad about it. Watched this for bogie but ended up being a lot more than just him. For 1940 this was a really well put together nice movie. Really felt all the emotion and everything going on. Solid performances from everyone. Really enjoyed the relationship of Joe and Cassie.

A classic thrilling noir from right at the beginning of the movement. Centered around Truck Drivers, it shows the business and also dangers of long hours driving including accidents. This switches gears a few times and becomes a classic noir with Ida Lupino playing the femme fatale. The acting is so fast paced and witty, the story flys by and remains captivating throughout. As they say in Arrested Development, Bogart is all right.
