What a weird film…

It’s a fun time except for when Steve Irwin isn't screen, which isn’t very often, so there’s that. I don’t have many complaints, it’s fun, it’s Steve Irwin, it’s awesome.

Okay, in all seriousness, it’s not a good movie, but Steve Irwin has such a presence that he makes it absolutely amazing. The whole CIA thing isn't memorable at all, but that’s fine because the rest of the movie is.

I’m gonna be real here, this would be absolutely terrible if it wasn’t for Steve Irwin, it might seem like I’m talking him up too much, but it’s really true. Honestly, I wish he did more movies because they could’ve been great.

Overall, it’s not a good movie, it’s one of those good-bad movies, but Steve Irwin makes it worth it.

This movie is objectively not good. But I don’t care, of any movie I have ever seen this is the most nostalgia locked movie for me. I cannot and will not rate it lower.

Also shoutout to David Wenham filming Faramir in Two towers probably the same summer as this movie. The idea of going back and forth between these two is kind of incredible.

This movie has the best match cut I've ever seen where someone farts with their butt stuck out the window to barn doors exploding open 🤯

The movie is about the CIA hunting Steve Irwin, and there's a real 'just let the idiot Americans kill each other' vibe that I actually quite liked. Loved his commentary during his fight scenes like it was his show. Just a warning: there is a crazy George Bush impersonator at the end.

I feel a deep spiritual connection to the whole Irwin family that almost makes me emotional thinking about them. If it weren't for my strong fear of spiders I would devote my life to animal conservation in Australia without hesitation!

I think my favorite genre of film might be when a celebrity plays a caricature version of themselves while helping the FBI/CIA solve an international crime.

(Ok I think this only applies to this movie and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, but both movies are 5 stars in my heart)

also, I used to watch this so often as a child that my grandmother had to replace the dvd 3 separate times (we even played it in the background during my Steve Irwin themed 8th birthday party)
