We took a break from last year, but we’re at it again. I’ve been watching the entire franchise to make the argument that it’s culturally insensitive. Europe (Mostly France and Germany) and Canada are absolutely insane to keep this IP alive. However, I actually laughed at some of this and I understand why this adaptation is regarded as one of the fan favorites amongst the original stories. The least problematic from the animated ones. Still, crazy to think they were depicting black folks like this.
