Big Bad Wolves is a great small little film that remains tense throughout its whole runtime. It feels like a dark realistic fairy tale mixed with torture horror and thriller. This movie takes a whole lot of inspiration from interrogation scenes in movies because the whole last act is one interrogation scene being interrupted by different situations. One thing that immediately impressed me was the soundtrack. It’s haunting and eerie and grabs your attention. The story is good and compelling but becomes repetitive towards the end. It’s for good reasons but even while watching it you feel like it’s treading the same ground we have already covered. The acting and characters are good too. The only thing that felt off-putting was the comedy. It’s funny, but sometimes it doesn’t handle the tonal changes well. Still, this is a great thriller you should watch.
