❝My friend, there is a fine line between coincidence and fate.❞

There's no beating around the bush here: this is definitely a major step-down from The Mummy. The first half of the film is honestly a little bit of a bore, and it only picks up after Rick and the others crash the hot air balloon. And though the visuals are still great, the CGI is so much worse; the low-res Rock-scorpion creature haunts my dreams to this day. As far as acting goes, I couldnt find any faults, but I was impressed with Arnold Vosloo's performance during the final scene because he had literally two facial expressions in the previous film. So, overall, it's not a bad time at all (especially considering what comes after this entry in the trilogy), but it's missing a lot of the charm from The Mummy.
