Rooster Cogburn
This is my kind of summer and summer love. Seeing Wayne and Hepburn together is something I never expected, but they actually work well together.

The largely unrecognized sequel to True Grit may not be as good as the first, the storyline isn’t nearly as interesting and the lack of a lot of lovable characters is felt, but this ends up being quite the enjoyable watch because of two of the greatest performers in Hollywood history. John Wayne reprises his iconic, award winning Rooster Cogburn role alongside the most successful actress of all time Katharine Hepburn, and their chemistry together made this as enjoyable as it is. This movie did what Two Mules for Sister Sara did but better, although a lot of that can be attributed to Hepburn. In the end though it’s a pretty generic western, looks pretty good but has the usual shortcomings that this kind of movie often has. Still, Wayne and Hepburn make this worth watching, I have no clue why it’s such a small unknown movie, for me, it was a good bit of fun for most of the runtime.

A great sequel to true grit. Not as good as the first but still a justifiable film and not just a money grab or a meaningless extension. The film has a great story with interesting and entertaining characters my two favourites of course being Rooster Cogburn played once again by the legendary John Wayne and Eula Goodnight played by Katherine Hepburn.
