This is really just 20 hours of gameplay edited into a 30 minute short film. I just finished this game today and wow. Does it top the sequel? God no, but very few things can. And goddammit people don’t talk about this game nearly enough! It came out in 2010! These visuals! And it’s amazing! The gameplay can be a little choppy, sure, but it’s such a well built game. The writing really stuck out to me. It’s such a wonderful experience to play knowing John, Dutch, Bill, and Javier beforehand, but honestly this game stands on its own two feet without the amazing story of the sequel. The people that made this game love westerns. And you can tell. I’m not that much of a gamer, but this franchise most definitely got me into PC gaming. It’s very Unforgiven-esque, and it ends as it should. PLEASE PLAY RDR1 AND RDR2 IF THIS AT ALL MAKES YOU INTERESTED ITS SO GOOD
