I’m a sucker for musicals and I’m not afraid to say it.
Robin and The 7 Hoods is such an underrated Frank Sinatra flick. I absolutely loved it, and it’s definitely my favorite film in my Frank Sinatra 5-film blueray collection.
Musicals shouldn’t work with more drama type and plot focused films, but I think it works perfect here. Especially with the B-double O-Z-E song, the Style song was also performed fabulously as well.
I thought the performances were very solid and didn’t really see much cheesiness involved.
The opening of the film is definitely not what you are expecting, but it boots you into the adventure that this film takes you on.
More people need to hear about and see this film!
