Most of this movie is so old-fashioned and stodgy and Neeson is pretty awful, but then the final 15 mins absolutely rocks and rolls with Collins’ death scene reminding me a lot of the “mist and shadow” stuff from Return of the King. It’s undeniably impressive that Irish filmmakers pulled off a handsomely-made war movie to rival the British industry
