"I, uh, bought you a present for your birthday"
"my birthday? that it's not until next november"
"this is for your last birthday".
there was something incredibly romantic abt watching this at 3 a.m. maybe it was the music, maybe it was the little gift, or maybe it was just JIMMY STEWART.
and that Louis Armstrong performance with the color wheel... it was unexpectedly beautiful????

Felt more fictional than a biopic but the ending was really sad.

I watched this film with my grandmother last night and I introduced her (kind of) to Glenn Miller. She recognized all the tunes and cried when they played "moonlight serenade". Now this will remind me of her forever.
