A really terrific and extremely interesting investigative documentary on how different factors can influence the amount of people and what kind of people are present in a certain space. Factors like sittable space (not just designated seats), streets, sun, food, water and trees are all incredibly important when it comes to city planning and the desired environment of the area. There’s almost an unconscious united mind in terms of where people locate themselves in a city, which is very reliant on the many factors this documentary investigated. I really enjoyed watching this one, there was a clear passion from the narrator which really shone in his dry witted humour and his very specific statistics and observations, It’s very impressive making a relatively mundane subject like this quite fun to watch. I also really liked the Timelapses, they reminded me of Koyanisquatsi’s timelapses but with a stronger purpose to show off a hypothesis, for example the suns effect on where people sit in the day.
Overall this was a fantastic little documentary and I’m very glad I gave it a watch.
