I have a hard time imagining a better name for this film.
I’ve seen a handful of documentaries: most were better as films, but few measure to the importance of this one. In other words, The Burden of Dreams is a more interesting watch, but the making of Fitzcarraldo is less important than the future of our world.
This is truly a very important film. It raised attention to the climate issue that plagues our planet and the things that we can do to stop it. It gave us real examples of how climate change and global warming have impacted real people. It offers nigh irrefutable scientific proof of an issue which has been so politicized over the years that it makes me sick.
One must see this film. Not for the innovative documentary filmmaking so much as for the tremendous importance of the issue at hand.
If it was that bad in 2006, how much worse is it 19 years later? America still fights against accepting climate change as a significant issue. When will we finally accept the facts? When will we change? When will we fight this, not just scientific but as Al Gore calls it, moral issue?
