bela lugosi and boris karloff essentially play dracula lite and frankenstein lite and it was kinda disappointing to see ? 

i was really actually enjoying the story until the end like i just wanted them to fully commit and have dr vollin come out on top but i'm guessing they had to end with the bad guys having been defeated because of the hays code 👎👎👎

also i would just like to point out the fact that several times in this movie bela lugosi's character claims that he will be "the sanest man in the world" after he finishes torturing his victims
