what a strange little film. there were some moments that didn’t have me at all, and that i felt were boring or out of place. but at the same time, there were other moments that i found very beautiful. profound meditations on the nature of life, the nature of beauty, and the experience of growing old in a city that predates you by centuries. i think i need to give this one another watch sometime. it’s very beautiful, and very strange, and despite being confused by it, i can’t help but marvel at its beauty.
