Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! My cousin put me onto this film, and man was it over the top in the best way! Leprechaun: In The Hood is a really cheesy movie, but it knows what it is. Honestly, I’m happy that this film wasn’t going around pretending to be horror. I was laughing out loud throughout the whole runtime. Every time Leprechaun is on screen I can’t help but to laugh. Warwick Davis plays this character perfectly. There were a couple cool kills for a movie that’s mostly comedy. Respect to this film for killing off the main characters, and the Leprechaun rap song. I do wish that they focused less on Mac Daddy and more on Leprechaun in the first part. Also, the whole plot with the flute is stupid, but this whole movie is just stupid. The hood setting wasn’t used to its full potential. But overall, a pretty funny film for St. Patty’s Day.
