There's actually a terrific Hitchcockian thriller at the core of this. A worthy watch in the Josh Jackson turn of the millennium teen thriller series. Wrapping the film around the du jour 'cruel intentions' styled veneer that was popular at the time was a good idea to give the film a unique bent, I just feel it pulled its punches in that regard... wasn't cruel intentiony enough.
