The Proposal is a pretty fun and charming rom-com, and I had a nice time with it despite my deep-set dislike for Ryan Reynolds. By far the best part of the film is Sandra Bullock, who has great chemistry with Reynolds and really anyone she's on-screen with. The plot is very formulaic, but it's forgivable because the comedy is decent, and I quite liked the ending. Would I rewatch this? Probably not, but I can see why it's a favourite for so many people.
