This is my favorite Wong Kar-wai film so far, I loved everything about it. Movies would be better if they all had Tony Leung in theme. From beginning to end this was just perfect and is genuinely one of the more beautiful films I’ve seen. No matter how much Po-wing and Yiu-fai fought or might have hated each other, they still yearn to be together. When Yiu-fai and Chang hugged, so much was said without either of them speaking a single word. Going from Po-wing looking at the two people on the waterfall lamp to Yiu-fai by himself at the waterfall was genius. I loved this so much it will be taking over Chungking Express’ spot on my four favorites. The whole time I was just waiting for them to use the song Happy Together and using it in the end scene was probably the best way they could’ve possibly used it.
