campy and weird in the best way. it’s got that late-night tv energy where everything feels slightly off but you can’t look away. the cursed dress idea is fun even if the story never fully takes off. not great, but definitely entertaining in its own strange way.

I actually really enjoyed this. It felt like an extended Tales From The Darkside episode. Campy fun time filling a Tobe Hooper blind spot.

I actually really enjoyed this. It felt like an extended Tales From The Darkside episode. Campy fun time filling a Tobe Hooper blind spot.

If I had watched this blind, I would’ve been surprised it’s Tobe Hooper. It’s campy and fun, if a little light. Detective effectively figures out what’s happening immediately, the title gets said (but not by the lead), Blue Bell ice cream, an aggressive soundtrack trying to juice the proceedings, and some funny and/or stylish bits.
