”It’s always the same, lad, weddings and funerals. The last ones to enjoy ’em are the principals.”Special watching this in my mum’s birthday with Fathin**! 🌟

i can say this movie feels sweet, intimate, and low-key heartbreaking in that very British and very 60s way with full of emotions, awkward tenderness, and that heavy pressure of expectations young couples face.
it follows newlyweds Arthur Fitton (played by
Hywel Bennett) and Jenny Fitton (played by
Hayley Mills), who move into Arthur’s parents’ noisy and hardly the honeymoon setup they imagined. their marriage gets off to a rocky start when Arthur’s shyness and insecurity make it difficult for them to consummate the relationship, and the whole town starts gossiping about their troubles
as pressure builds from family, work, and the community, they slowly drifts into hurt feelings and miscommunication. Arthur and Jenny must figure out how to reconnect and build their marriage with their own trust.
really love how this movie balances humor wity showing how love can get tangled up with pride, insecurity, and family chaos. their chemistry fits sooo well, too! 🌼🌟

p.s. this storylines reminds me with my parents’ marriage few months after their wedding. mumma say it’s a bit relate but thank God they live happily for almost 26 years 🫶🏻
