This had some good reviews from some folks I follow on here so in a moment of weakness on a recent American Airlines flight I put this on.
This has to be the second worst movie I’ve watched all year. Just a nasty piece of work. The action is incomprehensible due to the crazy tweaker editing. The writing is so late 2000s , with every character talking to each other like edgy teens on an internet message board. It’s just a tough watch because it presents such a depressing dystopic world and situation, and then gives you no fleshed out characters, good plot, writing or even good action sequences to grab onto. You just wallow in sophomoric violent shit for 90 minutes. The only star I’m giving here is for Terry Crews going wonderfully apeshit as a crazy villain henchmen, but in a sign of all the bad choices this movie makes it decides to have him dispatched way too quickly in a completely anticlimactic final battle.
