Black rain had the potential to be absolutely spectacular but it falls short on a couple points. The aesthetic is great but Ridley should have leaned more into it. Douglas is great and definitely makes this otherwise straight forward film. The story sounds more interesting than it is and the action bar the motorcycle sequences is very average. I was really hoping for this to be a underrated movie but ig not.
