Danny Fisher, young delinquent, flunks out of high school. He quits his job as a busboy in a nightclub, and one night he gets the chance to perform. Success is imminent and the local crime boss Maxie Fields wants to hire him to perform at his night club The Blue Shade. Danny refuses, but Fields won't take no for an answer.

For me, this is one of Elvis best movies, old movies can be really repetitive and kinda with the same plot, but not this one. And boy, he looks soooo good here 😭

genuinely just very enjoyable. there’s a solid plot to follow and they fit so much into the 2 hours that it’s virtually impossible to be bored

also i feel the deep need to mention that converted, danny was offered around $1350 aud each week for just performing each night. the absolute dream if you ask me but anyway
