i kept writing and deleting things.. i don’t even know what to write, the film was so good. Stanley Kramer’s direction, Spencer Tracy’s performance… Everything takes place within a single day and mostly in a single room, and that’s a film trait i find incredibly appealing on its own, i absolutely loved it! The love between the two characters could already be felt through their glances; they didn’t just pick a random couple to explore a few profound themes, they were genuinely compatible.. i don’t even need to talk about the film’s main themes, subthemes, messages, and meanings, it was simply a very engaging and delightful film

This is a movie of its time and of this time. Even if we want to believe couples don't have this sort of issue anymore, the reality is that they still do 😕 It's a lot better than in 1960s, of course, but it's still there. People may complain that the script was too on the nose, but again, for that time, this message had to be as plain and simple as it could.

Every single performance was splendid ✨ that also includes Tillie and that racist gallery lady. Especial mention to Hepburn, who gives said gallery lady one of the best "talking-to" I've seen on screen. Sidney Poitier, what an actor!

this movie was incredibly portraying an interracial marriage six years after loving v. virginia, but it was done to perfection. 

katharine hepburn firing hilary was a masterclass in acting. and that monologue from spencer tracy at the end. holy shit.
