It’s a fun movie, a turn your brain off and watch some kickass action type of flick and I like that shit. As always I’ll start with the negatives 1. The big glaring issue with this flick is there are way too many characters crammed into this 2 hour movie that we are supposed to care about before they die. When there are so many characters, it makes there deaths kind of hit less on the emotional scale. There’s also this weird love triangle thing going on between the princess and the Demi-goddess which was a bit weird. I really didn’t understand who’s the main chick if either. Same thing can be said about the enemies, too many. Medusa, the evil king, the kraken, hades, the witches. It was just a bit overbearing

The good, so much solid action in this film. Very cool monsters and visuals. Eye candy at its peak. I do really like 3 of the 4 main legionaries (the nice one, I felt like he wasn’t needed) and the gin guy, I thought they were each different and fun in their own ways.

Best part though by far is when that one dude gets ripped in half by the evil king “you reek of your father” i loved that scene when I was younger, so fucking cool.

I would say this movie would be lower on my list if there wasn’t a nostalgia bias on it though.

It's truly baffling that with all the great filmmakers throughout history, there still isn't a good adaptation of Ancient Greek mythology. Clash of the Titans is incredibly inaccurate to its original source material, choosing to work off of the 1981 film instead, and though the scale is certainly grand, it's severely lacking across the board. The plot feels so rushed, and the performances from the cast bar Ralph Fiennes and Mads Mikkelsen were spectacularly mediocre. I did like some scenes, like the scorpion fight, and the design of the Kraken was pretty cool, but the visuals for the majority of the film were just average, and the costumes (especially the ones for the gods) were just ridiculous. All said and done, not a good film by any stretch of the imagination; I still have the sequel, too, which I'm slightly dreading now.

This didn’t age too well as I suspected but I will say it’s sense of scale somehow rivals if not beats most modern day “epics”. I’ve been in my mythology phase lately so I wanted to revisit a somewhat childhood memory. Also this is such an insane cast.
