Eroica (1949) is an Austrian black and white take on Beethoven’s life where his seriousness is taken to full extreme, as the actor playing Beethoven has a permanent scowl on his face.
This movie shows Beethoven meeting Therese Brunsvick, falling in love with Giulietta Guicciardi, and then Therese convinces him to leave her so he can focus on his work. The movie makes no mention of Josephine Brunsvik or Antonie Brentano. With no women in the way, Beethoven tries to compose, but his loss of hearing gets in the way, so he decides to compose for God something that no normal person ever could have.
This film is entirely forgettable. I saw it 2 days ago and had to check the Wiki to be reminded of the plot.
