New York Nights
listen… I’m no stranger to the clunkiness of early talkies but this was a rough one. I only watched because of Lilyan (Norma was pretty good in this too, I wish her career hadn’t fizzled out at the end of the 20’s). APPARENTLY there’s about 20 minutes cut from all available versions but I highly doubt those 20 minutes could’ve saved it. 2 stars feels generous.

also, Mary Doran’s diamond outfit was very cute and I could probably make it.
