Castle of Otranto

i was surprised to know that this is the only on-screen adaptation (i believe...) of the book from 1764. for a book of such precedence, being the first gothic novel, i'd love to see it translated into a serious feature-length film. this itself though is an interesting watch and pretty fun with the mockumentary style. i absolutely adore the mixed media style and his animated portrayal of the story. enjoyable to watch after finishing the book!

Definitely many inconsistencies, but maybe also the best book to screen adaptation I’ve seen thus far? What if that was the most exciting sword fight I’ve ever seen? What a fabulous film.
