Observations and notes:
-Julie’s mom looks WAYYY too young (I looked it up and Julie’s actress was 19 and her mom’s actress was 30 ?? 😭)
-All of the men in this movie (besides Nick Cage and his friend) looked like they were dressed like male Barbies to me
-I do think it’s really funny some of the phrases they say lmao (“bummed to the max” unironically was so good)
-Skip delivers groceries??? The original skip the dishes!!!!!!!
-But actually the Skip side plot was very creepy I didn’t like
-Teenage girls don’t hang out in their underwear during sleepovers I promise
-THE CLOWN DOLL SHE WAS SLEEPING WITH WTFFF 😭💀💀💀💀 (me actually though I just wasn’t expecting it)
-Did Julie’s friends even actually care that much? istg they barely said anything. STAND UP GIRL!!!
-“Fuck off! For sure! Like totally!!”
-Him sleeping on her lawn…………………..🤨
-Johnny are you queer? is a crazy prom song 💀😭
Overall a decent teen comedy that reminded me of 16 Candles or Pretty in Pink but with a weaker story and funnier vernacular. Not quite giving a modern Romeo and Juliet as it tried for but still fun. My mom didn’t like it at all though, she said she would “give it one and a half stars for the soundtrack” but she didn’t like any of the characters or plot 💀💀
