Look it was a solid movie and I would have given it a 4 but there are just some scenes that make me want to jump on the table, grab the projector and throw it at the history maps. That torture scene with Winnie… don’t get me started.

Had to watch this for school... The movie feels like searching Mandela’s Wikipedia page and make it a script.

Well acted and inspirational true story. Elba is incredible, towering performance. In some ways though, Harris (who plays Winnie) has a much more interesting part. I found myself wanting to see more of her rather than Nelson.

Far too long at 2 hours and a half too, maybe could have been edited down. Some of the editing was strange too, there wasn't enough time to breathe.

A good film uplifted by fantastic acting in a fairly standard biopic.
