The film is very fun don't get me wrong, Jackie Chan in a beat em' up movie will always be a treat... but this one didn't hit quite as hard as some of the others have done. It was kinda like a karate kid movie but not as good and more pro wrestling rather than karate.

I bought the 88 films collectors edition thingy version of the movie because it looked so cool (comes with art cards, a book on all the features and the making etc. And a poster as well which is awesome) and I definitely don't regret buying it... but I guess I just wanted more from it. I will say its inspired me to catch up on other Jackie Chan movies I'm yet to see, as I've been told I'm missing out!

Impeccably scored by whistles, jazz clarinet and the same 5 punch sound effects. The plot doesn’t kick in until after the halfway mark but the titular brawl is worth the wait for how ridiculous and kick-tastic it is. Nancy is a real ride-or-die, what a queen!

a positive is that this is an American Jackie movie that actually frames and cuts the action well!

a negative is that he’s pretty much only fighting old white guys and it looks like Jackie is always moving in slow motion. the period piece part of it is fun, some funny moments, but the climax is a bunch of one on one fights with big muscular guys which is pretty disappointing
