9/10 childhood classic. Had the Blu-Ray of this growing up and easily one of my most watched movies ever. Not going to lie its been like 6 years since I’ve watched this and it still hits. The suit is just so immaculate. I mean in both of Andrews movies it is. Aura wise this suit clears TASM2 suit. I this one is just so amazing to look at with the reflective eyes. Easily the best romance we’ve gotten in all Spider-Man movies no doubt. Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield’s chemistry was off the charts. Also that skateboarding/warehouse montage just brings me back to my childhood. Literally one of my favorite scenes growing up for some reason. It is a very awesome montage but I would’ve told you Scorcese directed that like 10 years ago. Now for my minor critiques, I think they did the rehash of the story great but the standard story just absolutely clears. Also no emotional beats really hit especially Uncle Ben’s death which honestly hit me growing up. But I just felt nothing on this watch. And the underutilization of Aunt May sucks. Aunt May is one of the most important characters to Spider-Man and I feel she just checks on his black eyes in the movie. Literally I mean that’s all she does. Also how dare they change the most iconic line in all superhero movies. They changed “With great power comes great responsibility” to some slop. Which just hurt and I never realized that as a kid. Now back to the positives. I also got to say the darker aesthetic in the movie absolutely rocked. And the character development of Flash is just amazing to see. Love a good old character development. The final swinging sequence almost made me shed a tear out of straight beauty.
