The 50s definitely knew how to do comforting sci-fi films, just like with a classic noir there’s something strangely comforting about these types of films. Those end credits really made me feel like I just finished a proper film, absolutely fantastic. I did enjoy this film quite a bit, the story itself was rather basic but had some interesting links to the ‘red scare’ that was happening in 50s America. I loved all the practical effects and various settings, those alien pov shots are terrific. Overall just a pretty cool film, nothing more but nothing less.
