Poignant tree-hugging aside, MONTAGE doesn’t quite grip my attention with its central mysteries and when the mother’s involvement became apparent (25mins before the end of the film) everything just rolled downhill and went out the window for me. I could understand the rational of delivering true justice, it just wasn’t all that compelling.
