until halfway through the movie, i thought it wouldn't be that good... i was wrong.
the movie is tense and unsettling, the characters are structured to create discomfort. i always felt wary about the interactions, like something bad was about to happen at any moment. that feeling built up until the very last minutes.
the plot twist surprised me in a positive way because of the buildup we had, it reminded me a bit of the shining.
the film's aesthetic is beautiful, and the protagonist's relationship with her girlfriend is the only part that didn't make me feel uneasy.
i loved the story, the aesthetics, and for the time, considering the low budget, the acting is really nice.

I can sense that I’ll be wandering down a Walter Hugo Khouri rabbit hole after watching this unique lil gem with a very specific gothic, queer, fairytale, ocular, nihilistic, political, mingling of past/pres/future kinda vibe. Total slow burn, but that’s what makes it great.
