Drunken, has-been rock star John Norman Howard falls in love with unknown singer Esther Hoffman after seeing her perform at a club. He lets her sing a few songs at one of his shows and she becomes the talk of the music industry. Esther's star begins to rise, while John's continues to fall. She tries desperately to get John to sober up and focus on his music, but it may be too late to save him.

A Star Is Born
The Oreos is a wild name for a band with two black back-up singers and one white singer.

That was a tedious watch on several levels. Thank you for the music because the rest was rather forgettable and uneven... They have no chemistry and while the movie rushes their falling in love, the romance was so overly drawn out. And please!! there's no indication of how much time has passed.

Now that is said, Barbra SHINES SO BRIGHT as usual, wtf you mean this is her personal wardrobe?!

When she's everything you've been looking for, but you're not where you want to be in life. It’s reaching for that good ol’ boy concert-movie vibe, but it’s soaked in 70s excess; whereby, it makes the mistake of turning ego into romance.

This is definitely my least favorite one. I did enjoy the elements Barbara Streisand brought to this, but yea didn’t cut it enough. She was singing her ass off tho.
