ikarie was filled with awesome visuals and ideas that were ahead of its time, the influence of which can be seen in many of the sci-fi greats we recognize today. while the characterization doesn’t ever fully catch up to the vast crew we’re introduced to, everyone’s stories play great with one another as we witness these people attempt to live in a brand new frontier.

ironically, i fell asleep like the crew during the dark star’s 25 hour sleep sequence.

This was really fantastic. 
Yes it has its problems and is far from being perfect but I still liked it a lot.
It looks so cool, yes the designs are simple but I like them and this came out 5 years before 2001 in czechoslovakia so it’s really crazy how good this looks.
The plot is really good and the atmosphere this can create is astonishing.
