Another short one to pad out my year. It’s a little rough to get started but knocks it out by the end which mirrors the actual plot as well.
This feels like a perfect role for Shelley Duvall who sells each radical phase of Bernice. I actually gasped at the last scene, I was caught so off guard.
Overall it’s a lean slice of life during a period of social transition and the cast made it feel more than frivolous. Weird to think that we’re as far away from the making of this feature today as they were from the time they were portraying, yet it feels so relatable. You could probably make this same exact movie every 10-20 years and just refresh the trends.
