oh my goodness, i’m so serious when i say this movie absolutely wrecked me in the best way possible. just pure comedic brilliance, i was laughing my ass off from start to finish and it never let up for a second. and peter falk, you beautiful man… i LOVE you. but don’t you dare overlook his partner alan arkin, because every line he delivered, every little bit he did (the blank face expression had me WHEEZING), was just so fucking good, what an insane duo. i don’t think anyone’s touching this level of chaos and chemistry.

and seriously, thank you to my brilliant, beautiful girlfriend for putting me onto this. you’ve got such an impeccable taste… i love you syifa 🤍

One of the funniest films I've ever seen. The magical chemistry between Peter Falk and Alan Arkin make this film. They are both absolutely hilarious and the delivery and timing from both leading men is just perfect. The script is hilarious, the car chase are genuinely really great, the premise is fantastic and it goes in all the directions you want it to. Feels very much like a precursor to Meet the Parents (and especially its sequel, Meet the Fockers) in the first half, and a bit like The Naked Gun in the second. A near perfect comedy.
