A young man is confronted with corrupt and vindictive colleagues at work and negligent officials at the hospital where his mother is dying. As he searches quixotically for a steadfast moral code by which to live, he suffers from the knowledge of human frailty and our darker inclinations to do harm.

It started with Ishihara colour blindness test and a dude actually spoke malayalam, that's two things I actually know. In a polish film. How do you expect me to not like it?

Just a human suffering throughout the film.
Also i was so in shock when i heard a character speaking in Malayalam in the Mumbai portion of the film.

“You really believe the world will get better if it gains one more righteous man?”Zanussi films make me feel as intellectually competent as a 4-year old. On the surface this film is quite linear but this thing covers so many different themes and ideas around those themes it’s hard following them, or understanding them. I have no idea what Zanussi is trying to convey here except for the obvious political and philosophical statements. The ending definitely helped make some of itmake sense.. but still.. what a rollercoaster ride this film is!
Overall, Wouldn’t call it unfocused because everything he touches in this film has a pretty well defined and is well written, it’s just too much for me. Really good though!
