❝Living in a world where vampires are the dominant species is about as safe as barebacking a 5 dollar whore.❞

This was a decent vampire flick that had a very slow start and rushed ending, but I got to watch Ethan Hawke and Willem Dafoe so I was happy.
The plot was interesting but I'll be honest, it was a bit boring right up until Willem Dafoe appeared. I can't believe he was cast as a human and Ethan Hawke was a vampire 😭; as far as I know Dafoe's been in at least four vampire films and is a vampire in only two of them. The acting overall left a lot to be desired, but there was unexpected comedy in a lot of moments which I liked. I absolutely hated the architecture and interior design the vampires came up with, which I guess helped me to become more invested in Cormac's plans. The CGI was pretty bad considering it was done in 2009, but the action sequences were pretty well choreographed.
I had fun watching Daybreakers, but I'm probably not gonna watch it again and I don't think I'd recommend it unless you're a big Ethan Hawke fan.
