it’s 5 am so all i have to offer are these scattered thoughts:
unstoppable force (the egyptian urge to marry your cousin) meets immovable object (young omer sherif as a fala7i).
lowkey had some banger one-liners. i’m so glad i started watching arabic films w/o subtitles. riad’s delivery of “dameeri bda2 ynaghishni” and practically everything hassan said (esp. telling the judge “ir7amni min al shaghalana de”) were hilarious.
desperately need someone to put this version of اسمر كحيل العين on spotify.
i love seeing the nile on screen, especially outside of cairo. always makes me miss khartoum.
