As four teens navigate the flashpoint of adolescent relationships, their lives will be forever scarred by a tragedy that engulfs their city. Teenagers Billie and Laura, who live in Canberra’s suburban outskirts, are best friends and share everything – even, as it turns out, Laura’s boyfriend Danny, although Laura doesn’t know this. During the summer of Canberra’s bushfires, Billie’s mother welcomes the troubled Isaac into her care and his presence causes disarray in the girls’ friendship: Laura finds herself drawn to the gentle but intense newcomer while Billie’s unpredictable ways threaten self-destruction.

***screams “FUCK OFF!!!”***

This is a hidden gem but it shouldn’t be this is an incredible film that I really highly recommend. Unfortunately it isn’t easy to come by but you can buy or rent it on YouTube! ❤️🤍

I’ve been to everywhere they filmed here. I live so close to it all. Like that blue skatepark? That’s a five minute drive from my house. The Kingsleys they work at? That’s about a ten minute drive. Where they have the New Year’s Eve party? That is where I caught the bus every day to get to school and get back home. (Unfortunately it isn’t there anymore) Where the car crash happened? Five minute drive. (I’m sorry if you’re behind me when driving home at night because I drive very slowly because of that scene) That orange bus is the bus I would catch everyday in primary school.

I FINALLY GOT THE DVD YESTERDAY!!! I WAS WAITING TO FIND IT AT AN OP SHOP FOR LIKE $2 but the op shop gods were not with me SO I GOT IT FOR $15 ON EBAY WORTH IT!!!
